Senior actor Fahmi Bo has started a culinary business while recovering his health. Together with his wife, Nita Anita, they are now selling a signature dish called Pickled Oxtail.
Although his movement is limited because his legs are not yet functioning well, Fahmi chose a business that can be run from home. He admitted he cannot yet carry out normal activities with his current physical condition and health.
“Because I’m just in bed, unable to do anything, and in a wheelchair. So if it were a restaurant, cooked food, a rice stall, there would be many menus, and that would be hard on Mother (his nickname for his wife). So we decided on the main menu: Pickled Oxtail,” said Fahmi Bo at his rented home in Palmerah, West Jakarta, on Thursday (April 23, 2026).
This menu is not a new idea in his family. His wife revealed that the Pickled Oxtail she makes is a family recipe that she has combined with her own blend.
“Yes, we tried cooking that dish a long time ago, when the children were still small. So we often made it, again and again. Then recently that idea came up, so we thought, let’s just go with that,” said Nita.
According to the actor, who played Gusur in the Lupus series, he considered the ease of the cooking process for the dishes offered. He recalled that his wife also has to take care of him.
“To keep it simple, it’s practical, right? There are only a few menu items; we only sell four dishes. So Mother doesn’t get too tired from cooking, because she also focuses on taking care of me,” he explained.
Besides Pickled Oxtail, Fahmi Bo’s Icip Icip stall offers several other menus such as Beef Rib Soup, Betawi Milkfish Stew, Ragout Rolls, and Mustofa Potatoes.
Fahmi Bo and his wife’s business is still very new. Nita mentioned they only started five days ago.
Although it has only been running for a few days, customer response is reportedly quite positive. Orders come both from customers who visit directly and through online orders.
“Thankfully, over these five days, there have been orders, whether from people coming by or ordering via WhatsApp, online, there have always been orders. The important thing is that people are buying, and we are grateful,” said Fahmi.
Fahmi also hopes that presenter Raffi Ahmad can stop by to taste the menu at his food stall. He admitted he has already communicated with Raffi Ahmad’s team.
“I’ve already hinted to Raffi Ahmad’s team, asking them to stop by if they have time. The answer was ‘God willing, we’ll stop by later,'” he said.
Not only Raffi, but Fahmi also invites his old friends from the entertainment world to come and try his new business.
“Friends I used to shoot with, if you want to try it, just come to my house. Now I have a new business, a culinary business serving Pickled Oxtail,” said Fahmi Bo, promoting his venture.
