The Durar Association for Childhood Care in Al-Ahsa launched the “Flathatna” program, supported by the Prince Talal Charitable Foundation, in a qualitative step aimed at qualifying and empowering female cadres to work in the field of childhood, and enhancing the quality of services provided in childcare centers.

The program is an extension of the association’s efforts in investing in early childhood development, by building qualified female capabilities scientifically and skillfully, capable of effectively contributing to the development of care and education environments, in line with labor market needs and community development goals.

The “Flathatna” program is based on providing an integrated training experience that combines theoretical and practical aspects, through a package of training programs, workshops, and practical applications within real work environments, in addition to pre- and post-measurement tools to raise the efficiency of outputs and achieve the targeted impact.

The program targets young women seeking work in the field of childhood, and mothers wishing to engage in this sector. It extends for six months and includes training tracks focusing on developing educational and professional skills, and enhancing the job readiness of the beneficiaries.

The program aims to prepare trained female cadres, raise the quality of care services, and contribute to the economic and social empowerment of women, thereby enhancing their presence in the labor market and achieving a sustainable impact in the childhood sector.

The association emphasized that the launch of the program stems from its belief in the role of women as a key partner in building society, and its keenness to support qualitative initiatives that contribute to human development and enhance the quality of life, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Al-Ahsa

Al-Ahsa, located in eastern Saudi Arabia, is a historic oasis region renowned for its vast date palm groves and natural springs, with a history dating back thousands of years. It was a key stop on ancient trade routes and has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, later flourishing under various civilizations including the Dilmun and Islamic eras. In 2018, Al-Ahsa was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized as one of the largest and most significant oases in the world.

Saudi Vision 2030

Saudi Vision 2030 is a strategic framework launched in 2016 to diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy, reduce its dependence on oil, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, and tourism. It was introduced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as part of a long-term plan to transform the kingdom into a global investment powerhouse and open it up to international visitors. The initiative also aims to empower society through cultural and entertainment reforms, marking a historic shift in the country’s social and economic landscape.
