PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) through its Bakti BCA program continues to strengthen its contribution to reducing stunting rates in Indonesia. This time, Bakti BCA focuses on upstream interventions by supporting the socialization and early detection of preeclampsia to minimize the risk of premature birth and low birth weight.
Preeclampsia itself is a serious pregnancy disorder that is one of the main risk factors for stunting in children and contributes to maternal mortality rates.
During an event held at the Prof. Sujudi Building, Ministry of Health, on Tuesday (April 21), Bakti BCA donated a package of preeclampsia early detection tools for the Cisompet Public Health Center in Garut, West Java. The medical devices include an ultrasound unit, patient monitor, Android tablet, and the Cexup application, which enables healthcare workers to perform fast and accurate risk detection.
In addition to equipment assistance, Bakti BCA also facilitated 31 pregnant women from the operational area of the Bakti Medika Mangga Dua Clinic to undergo direct health checks. Besides preeclampsia detection, participants also received free Mini Medical Check-Up (MCU) services.
Antonius Widodo Mulyono stated that this initiative aligns with the government’s target to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), which is still relatively high in the Southeast Asian region.
“Today we distributed preeclampsia early detection devices as part of our ongoing commitment to stunting prevention. We hope this step can help reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate in Indonesia and ensure the long-term survival of mothers and children,” said Widodo.
Hera F. Haryn added that this collaboration with the Ministry of Health is a tangible manifestation of Bakti BCA’s consistency. Previously, BCA has actively run the PASTI program and the ‘Let’s Prevent Stunting’ campaign.
Hera explained that through the PASTI program running from 2023 to 2026, BCA together with philanthropic partners has distributed total donations worth US$1 million. This intervention has had a real impact on more than 6,000 children under two years old throughout the 2023-2025 period.
“Stunting prevention must start from the upstream, from adolescent readiness, maternal health during pregnancy, to child growth and development. We hope this initiative can strengthen the readiness of health facilities to provide faster and more appropriate medical responses from the start of pregnancy,” concluded Hera.
BCA’s step is expected to be a catalyst for other private sectors to actively participate in realizing a healthier generation free from stunting in the future.

Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak, considers the match against Arema FC to be a tough test for his team in the continuation of this season.
According to Bojan Hodak, Arema FC is currently in a positive trend and shows a significant performance improvement compared to the previous round. This is especially evident in the strength of the attack line of the team nicknamed Singo Edan.
“A difficult match tomorrow. Arema FC is in a better position than before, they are on a good run and playing well. Their attack line is very dangerous, many good players,” said Bojan Hodak.
Nevertheless, Bojan Hodak emphasized that Persib Bandung has the advantage of playing at home. He hopes full support from the fans can be a differentiating factor.
“We play at home. I hope the stadium will be full and we play in front of fan support, that is always an advantage for us,” added Bojan Hodak.
Ahead of the match, Bojan Hodak also revealed an evaluation from the previous game. He assessed that generally, the Persib Bandung defense did not play badly, but there were still individual errors that must be corrected immediately.
“Defensively we did not play
