MP News: DAVV has released its placement report for the city of Indore. The academic session 2024-25 was strong for the university in terms of placements. Notably, high package offers were received, and both the average package and the number of companies increased compared to last year. According to the placement report released by the university, a total of 271 companies participated in the campus drive this year, offering 1091 positions.
Last year, this figure was 219 companies and 1039 offers. This means there was a significant increase in the number of companies, directly benefiting the students. Among the students involved in placements, 56 percent were male and 44 percent were female. The highest package this session was an annual package of 72 lakhs, offered by X.com to Aditya Bansal, an MTech student at IIPS.
Additionally, students from IET also received major placement opportunities. Shruti Sharma, Kirti Srivastava, and Anuj Malviya were placed at Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Walmart. This year, the average package increased to 5.31 lakh rupees annually, compared to 5.14 lakh last year. This indicates that not only have opportunities increased, but their quality has also improved.

According to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Singhai, the university is continuously working to further improve placements. Efforts are being made through skill development programs, industry engagement, strengthening the alumni network, attracting high-package companies, and soft skills and language training. There is also an attempt to extend good placements, currently limited to select departments, to other departments as well.

These figures show that students are receiving good opportunities not only in IT but also in fields such as finance, consulting, and management. Prof. Singhai stated that compared to last year, there has been a notable increase in placements this year. The number of companies rose from 219 to 271, and offers increased from 1039 to 1091, while the average salary also increased.
