Nishino

Nishino is a historic district in Kyoto, Japan, best known for its role in the development of traditional Japanese sake brewing. The area is home to the Nishinoyama neighborhood, where the famous “Kizakura” sake brewery operates, and features the Nishino Shrine, which honors the god of sake. Its history dates back to the Edo period, when the region’s high-quality water and rice made it a center for sake production.

Nishi Ward

Nishi Ward is a district of Yokohama, Japan, known for its blend of modern urban development and historical significance. It was officially established in 1927 and is home to landmarks like the Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 area, which was developed on reclaimed land starting in the 1980s, transforming the waterfront into a major business and entertainment hub.
