Dr. Ibrahim Saber congratulated all employees of the governorate, authorities, and directorates on winning the government excellence awards, which included receiving the award for Best Arab Governor and the Asmarat City project winning the award for Best Local Community Development Initiative in the Arab world.
The Governor of Cairo noted that the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi were the main reason for the achievements being realized on the ground, pointing out that all previous governors had a positive impact on the development of the governorate.
Success of the Asmarat Project in Community Development
The Governor of Cairo emphasized that the most important award the governorate received was the Asmarat City project, which serves as a model for implementing the slum development plan at the level of similar projects.
He explained that the goal of the project is community development, supporting youth, and improving the quality of life for a large number of residents in slum areas.
He also praised the efforts of the young participants in the project, noting that a large number of them received awards in various fields, confirming the project’s success in developing the local community.
Cairo Joins the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities
The Governor of Cairo announced the capital’s accession to the network in the fields of education, heritage crafts, and others, affirming that all projects aim to serve citizens and improve their quality of life.
Future Plans to Establish a Department of the Future
The Governor revealed that the governorate is studying the establishment of a department under the name “Department of the Future” to discuss potential future problems and develop preemptive solutions for them, including reverse prediction of problems and attempting to solve them scientifically and procedurally in parallel with the efforts of the executive apparatus.
