RADARBANDUNG.ID, JAKARTA — Vice Chair Dahlia Madanih has praised the passage of the Domestic Workers Protection Law (PPRT) after two decades of waiting. In its implementation, Dahlia emphasized the need to address several issues.
First, the legal status as protected workers. This is already a standard provision in ILO Convention 189 on Decent Work for Domestic Workers, Article 1, which affirms that domestic workers are workers.
“However, due to strong stigmatization that demeans and does not place domestic workers as workers,” she said on Tuesday (April 21, 2026).
Then, regarding the regulation of rights and obligations between workers and employers. The law regulates the rights and obligations between both parties, aiming to create a balance to protect those involved in domestic work.
“This includes a work agreement that clearly outlines the duties, rights, obligations, and working conditions of both the domestic worker and the employer,” she said.
Safety and Health Guarantees
The law, Dahlia said, can also guarantee safety and health for domestic workers, who have long been considered informal or domestic workers and thus often neglected. Dahlia also highlighted the importance of education and vocational training for domestic workers.
According to her, this is a primary responsibility of both central and local governments. “Many factors contribute to the current lack of access to education and training for domestic workers,” she said.
She stressed that a monitoring mechanism is crucial to detect exploitation or disputes, including those involving domestic worker placement agencies. She called for a monitoring mechanism that can reach and provide a fast, affordable, and pro-domestic worker dispute resolution path.

RADARBANDUNG.id — Coach responded to criticism of the defense line, which has conceded four goals in the last two matches.
According to Bojan Hodak, overall, Persib Bandung’s defensive performance throughout the season has remained consistent. He believes the goals conceded in the last two matches cannot be separated from the on-field situation.
In the previous match against Bali United, Persib Bandung had to play with ten men, which he said greatly affected the balance of the game, including in the defensive sector.
“Throughout the season, the players played without mistakes. In the last match, we conceded two goals while playing with ten men. That is certainly different from playing with eleven players,” said Bojan Hodak.
Meanwhile, in the match against Dewa United, Bojan Hodak declined to comment in detail on the process of the two goals that went into Persib Bandung’s goal. He chose to submit the evaluation through an official report to the match officials.
“I don’t want to comment on those two goals because I will include them in the report to the relevant officials regarding the referee,” he said.
Nevertheless, Bojan Hodak emphasized that he does not see a major problem in Persib Bandung’s defensive performance. He understands that such situations can occur in football.
“Things like this sometimes happen. But overall, I am quite happy with how the players are defending,” he said.
