Medan. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra (Sumbagut) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) of North Sumatra are synergizing to prevent the misuse of subsidized fuel and LPG in North Sumatra.
This was revealed during a meeting between the Executive General Manager (EGM) of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Sunardi, along with management, and the Head of the Regional Intelligence Agency (Kabinda) of North Sumatra, Brigadier General TNI Muhammad Nasrullah Nasution, along with his staff, on Monday (20/4/2026).
The visit is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with stakeholders to ensure smooth energy distribution.
During the meeting, both parties discussed strategic steps to support national energy security, particularly in maintaining the smooth and targeted distribution of fuel and LPG, including subsidized products.
Executive GM of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Sunardi, stated that energy distribution is a vital sector requiring cross-sector support and coordination.
“Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strive for the availability and smooth distribution of fuel and LPG for the community. Through synergy with BIN, we are strengthening anticipatory measures against potential distribution irregularities, including for subsidized fuel and 3 kg LPG, so that distribution can be more targeted,” said Sunardi.
Meanwhile, Head of BIN North Sumatra Muhammad Nasrullah Nasution expressed support for Pertamina’s efforts.
“We welcome this strengthened synergy. BIN is ready to support through early detection and preventive measures against potential disruptions, including the misuse of subsidized fuel and LPG, so that energy distribution can run smoothly and conducively,” he stated.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, added that cross-stakeholder synergy is an important part of ensuring energy distribution runs well in the field.
“Ongoing coordination with various parties is expected to support the smooth distribution of energy for the community,” explained Fahrougi.
