A serious case of violence has emerged in the Madhubani district of Bihar during a village council meeting, where a young man was forcibly taken from his home and brutally beaten. Following the incident, tension gripped the area, forcing police to intervene immediately to restore order.

According to police sources, a village council was organized over the marriage of a boy and a girl. However, the boy’s side refused to participate in the council. Angered by this, some individuals present at the council allegedly forcibly seized the boy’s brother, Mohammad Hasnain, from his home, brought him to the council site, and assaulted him.

A dispute during the council led to an exchange of words between the two sides, which later escalated into a violent clash. It is alleged that some people dragged the young man out of his home and beat him publicly. A video of the incident has also surfaced, further intensifying the matter.

In this case, a total of seven people have been arrested, including a local leader associated with the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) and the head of the concerned village council. Police stated that a case has been registered against the accused under serious charges, and further investigation is ongoing.

The administration has said that additional police forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order. Strict action against the culprits has been assured to prevent such incidents in the future.

Local residents have expressed concern over such violence in the name of village councils, stating that the administration should have intervened earlier to resolve the dispute. Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the entire matter, and identification of other suspects is also underway.
