Jakarta

Two dealers of 2,700 ecstasy pills with a Marvel logo were arrested in Bekasi, West Java. The two suspects, identified by initials MI and R, are believed to be part of a French drug trafficking network.

“We collaborated with the Customs Office at Soekarno-Hatta Airport because this is suspected to be an international network between France and Jakarta,” said the Head of Narcotics Unit at South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Prasetyo Nugroho, on Wednesday (April 15, 2026).

The two suspects were arrested on Friday (March 27) in the South Bekasi area, Bekasi City. At that time, they were allegedly conducting a drug transaction around 10:00 PM local time.

Currently, both suspects have been named as defendants and are being detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police detention center. They face a potential sentence of five to ten years in prison.

“We urge the public, especially the younger generation, to stay away from drugs and to report any information about drug trafficking to the police via service 110,” Prasetyo said.

Previously reported, the Narcotics Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police arrested two drug dealers with initials MI and R in Bekasi. A total of 2,700 ecstasy pills with the ‘Marvel’ logo were seized.

“The Narcotics Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police successfully arrested two perpetrators along with evidence of 2,700 ecstasy pills with a Marvel logo,” said the Head of Narcotics Unit at South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Prasetyo Noegroho, in a statement on Tuesday (April 14).

From the photos received, the pills are blue and pink. The pills inscribed with ‘Marvel’ were wrapped in plastic clips.
