Students participate in the Tangsel Digital Academy program titled “Expert Goes to School,” held by the Diskominfo of Tangsel City.

Good news for students in South Tangerang City (Tangsel) who aspire to become digital experts.

The South Tangerang City Government, through the Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo), is running the Tangsel Digital Academy program with an innovative concept called “Expert Goes to School.”

This program is not just ordinary training. The Tangsel City Government promises job openings for outstanding students. If they meet the competency standards, participants have a great chance to be directly recruited to work within the Diskominfo Tangsel environment.

“I have already stated that if anyone meets the recruitment standards we have here, we will recruit them,” said the Head of Diskominfo Tangsel, Tb. Asep Nurdin, on Friday, April 17, 2026.

This step is reinforced by the signing of a cooperation agreement between Diskominfo Tangsel, the South Tangerang Institute of Technology (ITTS), and SMK Negeri 6 South Tangerang on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Tb Asep Nurdin emphasized that the program is designed to be a pioneer of a learning model that can truly be applied in the working world.

“We don’t want just one-day or two-day training. The main point is that we truly want to equip all of you with reliable skills, not just a brief visit,” he asserted.

Unlike typical short training sessions, the Tangsel Digital Academy implements an intensive learning system. Students will be trained for 3 consecutive weeks with 3 meeting days per week.

The focus of the material provided is on mastering information technology, especially the basics of website development.

Bridge to the Working World

The program, which started on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, aims to bridge the gap between the theory learned at school and the real needs of the digital industry.

The synergy between the government, universities, and schools is considered a key factor in creating a relevant educational ecosystem.

“This is a strategic step. Going forward, we want to expand this implementation to more schools in South Tangerang so that our younger generation excels in the era of digital transformation,” concluded Asep.

With the opportunity for direct recruitment, the Tangsel Digital Academy is expected to be a major motivation for Tangsel students to seriously hone their digital skills from school.
