TANGERANGNEWS.com- The trendy tea beverage business Menantea, founded by Jerome Polin in 2021, has officially ceased all store operations on April 25, 2026, after running for approximately five years.
The closure announcement was made by management through their official Instagram account.
“It’s hard to say this. However, as previously informed, all Menantea branches will officially close operations as of April 25, 2026,” management wrote on the account @menantea.toko.
Ahead of the closure, Menantea held a final sale promotion as a farewell to customers.
This program ran from April 10 to April 24, 2026, offering special prices on all beverage products.
Further explanation was provided by Jehian Panangian Sijabat, who was also involved in the business development.
He revealed that the business journey faced various challenges, including intense competition and internal issues.
“For us, this was our first company. Unfortunately, we were not ready to face the dark side of the business world. We lacked background research on potential business partners, and we did not regularly conduct internal financial audits. Over time, we discovered mistakes in Menantea’s operations,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Jerome Polin admitted to gaining many lessons from the experience of managing the business.
“Biggest lesson: Don’t easily trust people, even if they seem experienced; they could still embezzle or deceive. Make sure we understand the business, and create clear contracts/agreements from the start,” he said.
