TANGERANG – The Tangerang City Government, through the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department (PUPR), is moving quickly to normalize drainage channels along Iskandar Muda Neglasari Road, which have not been functioning recently.

The normalization effort is being intensified as a strategic step to anticipate flood puddles that can accelerate road surface damage during the rainy season.

“We are dredging accumulated waste, sediment, and structures blocking the drainage on Iskandar Muda Road. This normalization action is also part of a responsive measure addressing complaints from the surrounding community,” it was stated.

It was added that the normalization effort is being carried out to remove piles of garbage, sedimentation, as well as residential houses and shops that are blocking the drainage channel path along Iskandar Muda Neglasari Road.

“We have carried out dredging and reopening of closed or lost drainage channels, so that the water flow function can return to optimal, and road damage does not continue to recur,” it was explained.

Reportedly, the Tangerang City Government is also carrying out repairs on several other road sections, such as on Poris Indah Cipondoh Road, Husein Sastranegara Benda Road, Ahmad Dahlan Ciledug Road, Aria Santika Karawaci Road, Pajajaran Jatiuwung Road, Bayur Periuk Main Road, Kali Pasir Tangerang Road, Kaveleri Pemda Tangerang Road, and Halim Perdanakusuma Batuceper Road.
