US President Donald Trump threatened China on Sunday with imposing new tariffs on its imports to the United States if it provides military assistance to Iran.
Trump said, “If we catch them doing that, they will be hit with tariffs of 50 percent, and that’s a massive, truly massive level.”
The US President is scheduled to visit Beijing next month to meet his counterpart Xi Jinping, in a summit that was expected earlier but was postponed due to the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28.
