The National Meteorological Center issued a red alert in its weather report, warning of heavy rainfall in parts of four regions today, Friday: Makkah, Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha.
The weather phenomenon will begin at 12 PM and continue until 8 PM in some areas, and until 10 PM in others.
The rainfall will be accompanied by strong winds, reduced horizontal visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms.
Areas Affected by Heavy Rainfall
Makkah: Adham, Bani Yazeed, and Maysan.
Asir: Al-Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Abha, Ahad Rifaidah, and Khamis Mushait.
Jazan: Al-Harth, Al-Dayer, Al-Reeth, Al-Aridah, Al-Eidabi, Fifa, and Harub.
Al-Baha: Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Baha, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, and Bani Hassan.
Eastern Region Weather
The National Meteorological Center warned in its weather report of a heatwave, light rain, dust storms, and active winds in the Eastern Region today, Friday.
The heatwave will start at 11 AM and continue until 5 PM.
The alert includes: Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Udayd, Dhahban, Al-Ahsa, Buqayq, Al-Khafji, Al-Nuayriyah, Hafar Al-Batin, and Qurayyah.
The accompanying effects include temperatures rising to (47–48) degrees Celsius.
Light rain is expected in Al-Ubaylah, Al-Udayd, and Dhahban from 1 PM to 9 PM, accompanied by active winds, reduced horizontal visibility, and thunderstorms.
Al-Khafji, Al-Nuayriyah, Qurayyah, Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, Buqayq, and Dhahban will experience dust storms starting at 9 AM and lasting until 8 PM.
The dust will be accompanied by active winds and significantly reduced horizontal visibility (1–3 kilometers).
The Meteorological Center also warned of active winds in Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, and Ras Tanura.
The phenomenon will begin at 9 AM and continue until 8 PM.
The accompanying effects include reduced horizontal visibility and winds reaching speeds of (40–49) km/h.
