On this occasion, he clarified the government’s zero tolerance policy against cow slaughterers, stating that in the last year, more than 18 criminals have been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi participated in the ‘Holi Mahotsav’ organized at the Shri Wadwala Temple, Dudhrej Dham in Surendranagar. On this occasion, he paid respects at the feet of Shri Kanairam Bapu, who was recently honored with the title of Shankaracharya and is a Mahamandaleshwar from the Haridwar Kumbh Mela, as well as Junior Mahant Shri Nagardas Bapu, and received their blessings.

Addressing the gathering present on this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that on the very second day of assuming office as a Minister, he took the blessings of Lord Wadwala and pledged to protect the cow mother and cow devotees. Furthermore, he added with pride that the state government is extremely strict against elements involved in cow slaughter. Due to the government’s firm determination and concrete actions, in the last year, more than 18 cow slaughterers have been sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 7 years to life imprisonment. Speaking about the work related to cow protection undertaken in Gujarat under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he stated that by bringing a strict anti-cow slaughter law, the government has honored the sentiments of cow devotees.

Announcing important news regarding the development of Dudhrej pilgrimage site, he further stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, in addition to the previously approved four and a half crore rupees, the government will undertake development works worth another two crore rupees, totaling 6.50 crore rupees. Furthermore, addressing the pastoralist brothers and sisters and devotees present, he stated that we should all come together to strengthen the Sanatan power and faithfully fulfill the moral responsibility of cow protection.
