In the Aichi 13th district House of Representatives election, former LDP incumbent Taku Ishii (60) has been elected for a second term.

Former incumbent Kensuke Onishi (54) of the Centrist Reform Coalition was defeated in the single-seat constituency.

It is composed of representatives elected from congressional districts, with representation based on state population, and it holds primary power to initiate revenue bills and impeach federal officials.

LDP

“LDP” most commonly refers to the **Liberal Democratic Party of Japan**, which is not a physical place but a major political institution. Founded in 1955, it has been the dominant ruling party in Japan for most of the post-war era, shaping the country’s modern political and economic landscape. Its history is central to understanding contemporary Japan’s governance, policies, and its period of rapid economic growth known as the “Japanese Miracle.”

Hekinan City

Hekinan is a modern city located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, which was officially founded in 1962 through the merger of several towns. Its history is deeply connected to the salt industry, with its name meaning “peaceful salt,” and it later developed as a key industrial and residential area within the greater Nagoya metropolitan region.

Centrist Reform Coalition

The Centrist Reform Coalition is not a physical place or cultural site, but a political alliance in the Czech politics, primarily active in the 1990s. It was formed in 1993 as a centrist and liberal-conservative coalition of four smaller parties, most notably the Civic Democratic Alliance (ODA), and participated in the government of Václav Klaus. The coalition dissolved after the 1998 election, with its member parties largely fading or merging into other political groups.
