Quick and responsive action was taken by the Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) Police Chief after receiving complaints from residents regarding the surge in motorcycle thefts in the East Ciputat area.
Without delay, the Police Chief immediately purchased and installed CCTV cameras in high-crime areas.
This step was taken after several residents reported losing their motorcycles and expressed concerns about the rising crime rate.
Recognizing the importance of surveillance in preventing criminal activity, the Police Chief personally inspected the location and decided to provide surveillance cameras as assistance.
“Let’s protect our community together to prevent motorcycle theft. I will donate CCTV cameras. The community security team must collaborate with neighborhood leaders. Park vehicles properly and use double locks to ensure our lives remain safe, comfortable, and orderly,” said the Police Chief.
The installation of CCTV cameras is expected to help police monitor the situation and speed up the identification of criminals in the future.
“I also remind the public to be vigilant against street brawls, drug abuse, and the negative impacts of gadget use, such as online gambling and illegal online loans,” concluded the Police Chief.
