The fire occurred at a two-story house in Uemae, Tomakomai City.
Around 11:00 AM, a male resident reported to the fire department, “There is smoke coming from the second floor. I can see flames.”
According to authorities, there are no injuries from the fire, but firefighting efforts involving nine fire engines continue.
