Hyderabad, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Dr. Arola Srinivas highlighted the gap between the Chief Minister’s words and actions, stating that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had promised to give Osmania University (OU) ₹1,000 crore. A month has passed, but nothing has happened so far. Addressing the media at the BRS headquarters, Telangana Bhavan, Dr. Arola Srinivas said the Chief Minister had also promised ₹500 crore to Chakali Ailamma University, which has not been provided yet.
Arola demanded that the Chief Minister immediately provide ₹1,000 crore to OU and ₹500 crore to Chakali Ailamma University. He said that before the elections, there was a promise to provide 2 lakh jobs to the unemployed immediately upon coming to power. Two years have passed since coming to power, and they have not been provided yet. He demanded that the Chief Minister release a white paper on how many jobs have been provided so far. Far from giving funds to universities, they have cast a covetous eye on the lands of these institutions.
Accusations Against Chief Minister of Land Grabbing and Unfulfilled Employment Promises
They are thinking of grabbing university lands for real estate. In fact, the Chief Minister should have had a Real Estate Department instead of an Education Department. He said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has completely failed as Home Minister and Education Minister. He expressed anger, accusing the current government of grabbing 50 acres of land belonging to Maulana Azad National Urdu University, and said that previously, 100 acres of land from Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University were given away for the High Court.
Similarly, attempts were made to grab 450 acres of land from Hyderabad Central University. This was stopped due to massive protests and the intervention of the Supreme Court. He said the government’s job calendar has turned into a jobless calendar. Therefore, the government should fulfill its promise to the unemployed and immediately provide 2 lakh jobs to alleviate the concerns of unemployed youth.
