Delimitation: ‘We Will Lose Our Own Voice’, Stalin’s Clear Stance’s Reflection

Delimitation: The process of delimitation is going to intensify the political tussle. DMK’s chief minister Stalin convened the first consultative meeting of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) on 22 March. The next meeting is slated for Hyderabad. In the first meeting of the JAC on delimitation, a detailed discussion took place on the points raised by Lok Sabha seats.

In this JAC meeting, CM M.K. Stalin said that we are not against delimitation. We are in favor of delimitation according to the constitution. This time they have decided to form a special panel to deal with political and legal battles over delimitation.

MK Stalin

Mr. Stalin said in this discussion that the government which has the power to manipulate delimitation in its favor should not be allowed to do so. Consequently, we need to remain very cautious and plan strategically for its opposite consequences. If delimitation is applied, the demarcation will have to be made of 8 seats.

Joint Action Committee stated on this point that strengthening people’s participation and acting on the directive is crucial. That is why CM Stalin said that the delimitation handled by this government is suspect. After the Bihar version, they bring changes with the help of lawyers, and it’s an insult to our democracy.

On the contrary of Consensus on Census Policy

In the bench on delimitation in Chennai, Odisha’s former CM Naveen Patnaik said that the main objective of this bench is to break the boundary of the country’s united growth. If southern states were not warned about consensus, the country’s collective union might fall apart. Attention should be given to northern states on delimitation policies that encourage inequality.

Politics that is supporting Scissors for a Long Run

The CM of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan said, ‘Delimitation scissors are running on the democracy of Lok Sabha seats for a long time.’ He said that the central government should assure a cooperative stance with states on delimitation issues. It’s not about agreement on this fact; it highlights the negative impact on India’s fractional integrity.

Jagannath Mohan Reddy Writes Letter to PM

In this middle of the period, Andhra Pradesh’s former CM and YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to the PM. In the letter, he requested that the practice of delimitation should continue in such a way that makes sure no state becomes incapable of electing seats. The imminent seats will be rolling out either in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha without any prior redundancy.

The Large Demand to Absorb Political Properties

The objective behind delimitation suggested by DMK’s CM Stalin is to confirm that longtime educated political leaders can profit from the delimitation in a fair manner. Now when five new states come in, the division of delimitation will become necessary, and aspirational values align the gaps which highlight regional development. Many doubt whether the hammer will fall on government errors to test trust on states’ political profiles.

In conclusion, we investigated some new states’ risk in fulfilling the prototype’s harmony from delimitation during the existing test of the face of democratic aspirations.

These State’s Leaders Brought Reflections in Bench

In the bench to the CM of Karnataka’s Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Telangana’s chief minister K. Chandrashekar Reddy, Punjab’s chief minister Bhagwant Mann, and the Odisha Congress MP of Bhakt Charan Das and B.J.P. Janata Dal’s united committee member Kumar Das meet to discuss political unity.
