Dhaka, A court in Bangladesh sentenced ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to 21 years in prison on Thursday in three corruption cases. The judge delivered the verdict in Hasina’s absence, as she has not yet been arrested. The trial was also conducted in her absence.

Hasina was sentenced to seven years in each case, totaling 21 years of imprisonment. The court stated in its verdict, “The plot was allocated to Sheikh Hasina without any application and through illegal means.”
