Tangerang Mayor H Sachrudin

TANGERANG – The Jakarta Premium Outlets (JPO) has officially opened, becoming a new icon for modern shopping centers in Indonesia. Despite the name “Jakarta,” this prestigious outlet is located in Tangerang City.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Mayor of Tangerang, H. Sachrudin, expressed appreciation for the trust placed by international investors in Tangerang City as a strategic location for developing a world-class shopping destination.

“It may be called Jakarta Premium Outlets, but its location is in Tangerang City. This proves that Tangerang is increasingly recognized as a competitive, investment-friendly city and an important part of the national and global economic map,” emphasized Mayor Sachrudin at the JPO inauguration on Silk Road Boulevard No. 41, Pinang District, Tangerang City.

Developed by Simon Premium Outlets and Genting Group, this outlet is the first of its kind in Indonesia. With an open-air and eco-friendly concept, JPO not only offers an exclusive shopping experience but also strengthens Tangerang City’s image as a modern and sustainable city.

Since its soft opening a few months ago, Sachrudin added, JPO has attracted thousands of visitors every week. Its presence has had a positive impact on the local economy, including the creation of thousands of jobs, increased purchasing power, and growth opportunities for nearby SMEs.

“This is not just a shopping center but a symbol of urban progress. The trust from global investors shows that Tangerang City is increasingly becoming a key player in the international investment landscape,” Sachrudin added.

The Tangerang City Government remains committed to fostering a conducive business climate through streamlined permits, infrastructure improvements, and digital public services like Tangerang LIVE and the Public Service Mall. These efforts aim to strengthen the region’s competitiveness in the eyes of both national and international investors.

The Mayor of Tangerang also hopes that JPO will serve as a driver of the local economy and a proud icon for Tangerang City at the national and international levels.

“Congratulations on the inauguration of JPO. May this collaboration continue to bring tangible benefits, open greater opportunities, and further establish Tangerang City as a new center of economic growth in Indonesia and the world,” Sachrudin concluded.
