The prosecution has demanded a 10-month prison sentence for a former Gifu Prefectural Police officer accused of secretly filming up women’s skirts and other crimes.
The defendant, a former police inspector, is charged with crimes including illegal filming of sexual postures.
According to the indictment, between June and August this year, the defendant used a smartphone hidden in a bag to film up women’s skirts at a game center in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, among other locations.
During the first hearing on the 19th, the defendant admitted to the charges in the indictment.
The prosecution argued that the defendant had “repeatedly committed at least 300 instances of illegal filming over approximately two years,” stating that “the habitual nature is evident,” and demanded a 10-month prison sentence.
The defense requested a fine, stating that “the defendant is remorseful.”
