Bangalore Rain Update: According to forecasts from the India Meteorological Department, Bangalore is likely to experience thunderstorms with showers over the next three days. Several parts of the state have already received rainfall this week. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Bangalore as well as districts in South and North Karnataka. Light scattered rain is expected on Thursday, light to moderate rain on Friday, and isolated light showers on Saturday and Sunday.

Officials from the India Meteorological Department stated that the probability of scattered rain in Bangalore is only 50%. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre reported rainfall in Belagavi, Dharwad, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, and Hassan districts on Wednesday.

Heavy rainfall recorded in several parts of these districts
Raybagh in Belagavi district recorded the highest rainfall at 68.5 mm. In Bangalore, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was 33.6°C, while the minimum was 19°C. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was 33.0°C and the minimum was 21.7°C. Over the next three to four days, several other districts besides Bangalore are also likely to receive rain. For Bangalore, light rain is expected on Thursday, light to moderate rain on Friday, and isolated light showers on Saturday and Sunday.

Highest rainfall recorded in Belagavi district
On Wednesday, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre recorded rainfall in districts such as Belagavi, Dharwad, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, and Hassan. Many parts of these districts received over 30 mm of rain, with the highest rainfall recorded in Raybagh, Belagavi, at 68.5 mm. The maximum temperature in the state remained normal. In the state capital, the highest temperature was recorded at 33.6°C at Bangalore City’s weather station, followed by 33.1°C at Kempegowda International Airport’s station.
