AKAS Achieves Major Success in Recovering Millions from Old Dues, Boosts Traders’ Trust in the Organization
The 65-year-old Adatiya Kapda Association Surat (AKAS) has once again won traders’ trust through its experience and dedication. The organization recently succeeded in resolving 11 to 15-year-old pending transactions and recovered millions of rupees for traders. Last week, AKAS’s team visited various textile markets, personally interacted with traders, and listened to their concerns.
Under leadership, the association focused on serious issues like fraud, cheating, and pending payments in the trade. AKAS has been consistently imposing restrictions on suspicious and fraudulent traders across the country to protect others from scams. The organization has urged the trading community to stay vigilant and pay attention to notifications shared through WhatsApp groups and apps.

The association believes that most traders remain uninformed due to lack of time, and this negligence leads to fraud. Keeping this in mind, AKAS’s team is now visiting every market to assist traders through direct communication.
In a recent initiative, traders brought forward several cases dating back 10 to 15 years. Shopkeepers had nearly forgotten these amounts, but AKAS’s efforts and dialogue led to successful recovery of old dues. Since courts do not entertain cases older than three years, this achievement becomes even more commendable.
AKAS’s initiative is not only crucial for traders’ financial security but is also fostering a new environment of trust and transparency in Surat’s textile trade. The business community has appreciated the organization’s work.
