The Belarusian-made BKМ E433 Vitovt Max Electro II electric bus has arrived at the resort for the Interregional Driving Skills Competition “Driver of the Year 2025”.

The opportunity to test the “articulated” bus was provided by the company “BKM Holding”.

Sochi has challenging terrain for extra-large class buses, which includes the BKM E433 Vitovt Max Electro II, with a length of 18 meters and 75 centimeters.

In addition to its impressive size, the electric bus features an original design, a modern body layout, and a high level of comfort in both the passenger cabin and the driver’s compartment.

Also: Sochi’s public transport fleet will receive 75 new medium-class buses. The buses are planned to be purchased by the end of the year using extra-budgetary funds.

Sochi

Sochi is a major resort city on the Black Sea coast in Russia, often called the “Summer Capital.” It gained international fame after hosting the 2014 Winter Olympics, which led to significant modern development. Historically, its subtropical climate has made it a popular health and tourist destination since the Soviet era.

Interregional Driving Skills Competition

The Interregional Driving Skills Competition is a modern competitive event that showcases professional driving proficiency and safety awareness. While it does not have a long historical legacy, such competitions have emerged as important platforms for promoting road safety standards and professional driver training. These events typically feature participants from different regions demonstrating skills in vehicle handling, obstacle navigation, and emergency response scenarios.

Driver of the Year 2025

“Driver of the Year 2025” is not a place or cultural site, but rather a title for an automotive award or competition. It is a forward-looking designation, typically given by a motoring organization or publication, to recognize what is projected to be the best or most significant new car model for the year 2025. As such, it has no historical background as it refers to a future event.

BKM Holding

“BKM Holding” is not a specific place or cultural site, but a major Turkish financial conglomerate (Banka, Kredi, Kart – Bank, Credit, Card). It was established in 2022 as the parent company of İşbank, which is Turkey’s largest private bank with a history dating back to its founding by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1924. Therefore, its history is rooted in the economic and banking development of the Republic of Turkey.

BKM E433 Vitovt Max Electro II

Based on the name, “BKM E433 Vitovt Max Electro II” appears to be a specific model of a Belarusian electric multiple unit train. These trains were manufactured in the late 20th and early 21st centuries to serve the suburban rail networks of the former Soviet republics. The name “Vitovt” likely references Vytautas, a Grand Duke of Lithuania, connecting the train to the historical region.
