The future blooms, showcasing the vitality of youth! At 8:00 PM on June 1st, the gala titled “The Future Blooms – 2025 Central Radio and Television Station ‘June 1st’ Gala” will meet the audience.
The gala focuses on the theme “The Future Blooms,” showcasing the bright and vibrant image of numerous young people basking in the new era’s sunshine. Under the loving care of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, they thrive like blooming flowers. Centered around chapters “Aspiring, Dreaming,” “Loving to Learn, Loving to Work,” “Grateful and Kind,” and “Innovative and Daring,” the gala combines diverse performances such as songs, dances, animation skits, dramatic performances, cool sports, and ethnic fashion shows, creating an immersive stage space where children can enjoy a visual and auditory festive experience.
Youth advancing with vigor, leading the future.
This year’s “June 1st” gala invites children’s performance groups, outstanding young singers, Olympic health children, youth singers and actors, renowned artists, playwrights, scientists, and other representatives through ingenious connections and creative arrangements to present the spirit and demeanor of the new era’s young people.
At the gala scene, children will “encounter” the New An Traveling Group, a youth revolutionary ensemble under wartime bombardment, interact with the chief scientist of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, “Earth Guard Award” recipient Lu Yu, representatives of the Xinjiang Yetit Primary School’s western volunteer service team, learning from their commitment and sacrifice, gathering strength for the future.
Pep children will jointly sing “We Sing a Song for You,” expressing their gratitude with sincere voices. “In Position Time” and “The Light in Life” express deep affection for the motherland and praise for life with warm melodies. “Dynamic Youth Squad” gathers children’s favorite fashion sports, extreme sports, and campus sports, flying towards the dream of strengthening the country through sports. “We Are the Successors of Communism,” sung through clouds, resonates with the voices of new era youth who love the Party and the country, study hard, and aim for comprehensive development.
Technology empowers art presentation, integrating innovative “intelligent” sketches of the future.
The gala integrates technologies like naked-eye 3D, AI, and XR, introducing creative interactions with robots and intelligent machine dogs, building a multi-dimensional artistic realm. For the first time, the broadcasting studio is created as a “smart body,” presenting innovative integration of technology and traditional art.
The theme song of the gala “The Future Blooms,” co-written by youth from Beijing, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Henan, Guangdong, and Macao, with AI composing, showcases the joyous scene of a hundred flowers in bloom. In “Seconds Back to Childhood,” artificial intelligence technology allows 91-year-old performing artist Tao Yuling and his childhood self to delightfully appear “in the same frame,” showcasing the unchanged artistic intent and transmission strength amid the flow of time. In “Embrace the Earth,” a 3D giant panda that “sings” dynamically appears on cube descending screens, singing songs of nature with kids, transmitting love for the earth.
Light, electricity, and bamboo trace the artistic movement, with “Chasing Light and Dreams” utilizing dynamic tracks to create a fantastic space of the universe. “Happy Blind Box” connects exquisite animated songs through the format of “opening blind boxes,” encouraging children to bravely chase their dreams. The performances “Wala La” and “The Colorful Emotions” incorporate robots’ “childish” expressions, accompanying children in exploring a colorful world and lighting up the path to growth.
Inheriting Chinese cultural heritage, lighting up juvenile hearts.
Drawing nourishment from outstanding Chinese traditional culture, the gala incorporates elements like Chinese characters, literature, opera, nursery rhymes, ethnic costumes, and local features into program design, allowing children to appreciate the charm of Chinese civilization.
In “Words in China,” a youth street dance team describes the beauty of Chinese character structures with body language. “Famous Books Have Plays” draws inspiration from China’s four great novels, bringing together Beijing Opera, Cantonese Opera, Kunqu Opera, and English musical theater for a new rendition. “Warm Seasons” integrates dialect nursery rhymes from Guangdong, Yunnan, Fujian, Henan, etc., consolidating the deep love of Chinese children for their homeland.
In “A Journey of Blossoms,” children of various ethnicities join hands with Guizhou’s “Village T,” showcasing the beauty of traditional and modern fusion with colorful ethnic costumes. Sung by child singers, “This is Na Li” sings the courageous and strong “little hero” spirit, infusing new vitality into the transmission of outstanding Chinese traditional culture.
