Jiuzhaigou
Jiuzhaigou is a scenic valley and nature reserve in China’s Sichuan province, renowned for its multi-level waterfalls, colorful lakes, and snow-capped peaks. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 due to its exceptional natural beauty and biodiversity. Historically, the area was inhabited by Tibetan and Qiang peoples for centuries, and its name means “Valley of Nine Fortified Villages” in Chinese.
