Those pulling the chariot were seen placing Godse’s photo in certain sections and displaying it prominently. Slogans were also raised during the yatra. The procession started from the Sitarambagh Temple and was welcomed by party supporters at various intersections across the city.
For the yatra in Hyderabad, police deployed security forces along the entire route. Hyderabad police assessed the situation. Additionally, cameras and drones were set up to monitor the procession. Hyderabad Police Commissioner ensured tight security, using integrated command and control centers to monitor the situation.
Security Preparations to Prevent Violence
Meanwhile, on January 29, police arranged a large-scale deployment of security forces to counter potential violence. During the same period, a rally planned in Mumbai was prepared to prevent possible violence arising from Hindu-Muslim social tensions. Earlier, police imposed curfews and shut down several gatherings. Reports indicate that Hyderabad police previously organized workshops on communal harmony and instructed officials to avoid any violence or tension linked to inflammatory speeches. After August 25, heightened measures were implemented following the BJP’s plan.

Following an outbreak of violence, the situation calmed down due to active police presence. Legal advice was given to avoid inciting violence or making inflammatory speeches to maintain peace in society. Earlier, several months prior, certain groups in the district added locations and forms to create communal unrest and target specific communities. It is known that based on advice given over the years, Hyderabad police actions were monitored to foster harmony. Subsequent investigations revealed that the BJP was involved in proceedings related to resisting communal tensions.
