The Osaka-Kansai Expo is currently being held in Konohana-ku, Osaka City from Sunday, April 13, 2025 to Monday, October 13, 2025!

This is the “Theme Week Studio” located within the Expo venue.

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, a special event was held at the “Theme Week Studio,” and we had the opportunity to visit!

This event featured discussions about the processes that have emerged through the Expo, how to carry them into the future, and the relationship between nature – including the “Forest of Serenity” located at the center of the Expo venue – and resonance in future society.

The event was divided into three parts. Part 1 focused on “Expo 2025 and National Area Plans” with presentations from the Expo Theme Project Producer, the Italian Commissioner General for Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, and the Media Director of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion.

The Theme Project Producer served as the discussion moderator and spoke about the overall summary of this Expo and the future of the “Forest of Serenity” they produced.

The Italian Commissioner General expressed that through this Expo, Italy feels that real life has been completely restored – overcoming global restrictions to meet people directly and see things with one’s own eyes.

The Saudi Arabia Pavilion Media Director explained that they are sharing heritage and traditional culture to help visitors make new discoveries and develop interest in looking at the world starting from Saudi Arabia.

Part 2 focused on “Osaka’s Potential Post-Expo” with presentations from the Mayor of Osaka, the Expo Venue Design Producer, and the Expo Landscape

The 2025 expo, with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” aims to be a global collaborative platform for addressing societal challenges and sharing innovative solutions.

Theme Week Studio

I am unable to provide a summary for “Theme Week Studio” as it does not appear to be a widely recognized public place, landmark, or cultural site with an established history. It is possible this refers to a specific local business, a project name, or an internal studio within a company, for which no general information is available.

Forest of Serenity

The Forest of Serenity is a fictional place, most famously appearing in the animated series *Avatar: The Last Airbender*. It is a spiritual forest located in the Earth Kingdom, known for its ancient, giant banyan-grove tree whose roots connect to the entire ecosystem. The forest serves as a sacred, tranquil haven where individuals can seek enlightenment and connect with the Spirit World.

Expo Venue Design Producer

An Expo Venue Design Producer is not a specific place or cultural site, but a professional role responsible for overseeing the design and construction of pavilions and venues for World Expos. These producers manage the creative and logistical process, often working on national pavilions that showcase a country’s culture, technology, and innovations to a global audience. Their work has historically brought to life iconic temporary structures that define each Expo’s theme, such as those seen in events like Expo 2020 Dubai or the 2010 Shanghai Expo.
