Eighty years ago, peace-loving and justice-seeking nations and peoples worldwide united as one, fought courageously, and achieved victory in the World Anti-Fascist War at the cost of blood and lives. This unprecedented just war in human history completely shattered the ambitions of fascism and militarism to dominate the world through war, put an end to the era of great powers carving up the world by competing for colonies, and thoroughly dismantled the colonial system that had existed for centuries, exerting a profound and far-reaching impact on safeguarding world peace and promoting common development.
Today, eight decades later, humanity once again faces choices between peace and war, dialogue and confrontation, win-win cooperation and zero-sum games. It has been profoundly emphasized that “China firmly stands on the right side of history and the side of human civilization progress, adheres to the path of peaceful development, and works hand in hand with people of all nations to build a community with a shared future for humanity.”
Standing at a new historical starting point, China, through its own development and actions, is strengthening confidence in win-win cooperation, joining hands with all parties to implement the four global initiatives, and collectively striving to create a brighter future for humanity.
