The Riyadh Municipality has started implementing engineering treatment works to develop and improve the intersection of Sultanah Road with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Road in the Sultanah neighborhood, within the municipality’s sector west of Riyadh. This is part of its ongoing efforts to raise the efficiency of the road network and improve traffic flow within residential areas.
The municipality stated that the works included increasing the capacity of Sultanah Road and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Road by implementing two lanes for movement in each direction, in addition to U-turns on both roads. Traffic flow at the intersection was organized by adding a traffic signal equipped with the latest systems, and its operation was managed to align with traffic density.
It emphasized that the development works aim to enhance the efficiency of connections between local roads and main axes, contributing to improving the daily experience of residents in the Sultanah neighborhood.
The Riyadh Municipality continues to implement engineering treatment works in various neighborhoods of the city, as part of its plans aimed at improving quality of life and developing the urban landscape, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to build more sustainable and efficient cities in terms of services and infrastructure.
