Security authorities in Egypt arrested businessman Ahmed Al-Haddad, husband of actress Hagar Ahmed, following a violent altercation that broke out inside a well-known car showroom in the Fifth Settlement area east of Cairo. Several individuals were involved in the dispute, most notably businessman Sabri Nakhnoch and others.

North Coast Villa

This crisis stems from a fierce dispute between multiple parties over a villa in the North Coast area, valued at approximately 50 million Egyptian pounds, which was sold earlier. The conflict later erupted between the involved parties over remaining financial dues from the total property price, amounting to about 20 million pounds, ultimately leading to the escalation and worsening of the crisis.

Heated Discussion and Altercation

According to preliminary security investigations, several individuals went to a car showroom owned by one of the parties to this dispute, located in the Fifth Settlement area. The confrontation began with a heated discussion and quickly escalated into a major altercation, prompting the car showroom owner to file an official report about the incident and notify security authorities.

Security forces from the Cairo Security Directorate moved to the scene of the altercation, examined the circumstances surrounding the incident, and arrested several individuals involved.

Well-planned security ambushes were also set up, resulting in the apprehension of businessman Sabri Nakhnoch and other parties while they were on various roads, in preparation for presenting them all to the relevant investigative authorities.

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution has initiated its extensive investigations into the circumstances of the incident and has already heard testimonies from the parties involved in the altercation to accurately determine the reasons and backgrounds of this dispute, while security agencies continue to intensify their efforts and investigations to uncover all details and aspects of the case.

Fifth Settlement

The Fifth Settlement, also known as “New Cairo,” is a modern suburb located east of Cairo, Egypt, developed in the 1990s as part of a government initiative to alleviate overcrowding in the capital. Originally desert land, it was transformed into a planned residential and commercial hub, featuring wide roads, gated communities, and upscale amenities. Its history is brief compared to ancient sites, but it has quickly become a symbol of contemporary Egyptian urban development.

Cairo

Cairo, the sprawling capital of Egypt, is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, founded in 969 AD by the Fatimid dynasty. Its rich history is visible in landmarks like the ancient Islamic district, the historic Citadel of Saladin, and the nearby Giza pyramid complex, which predates the city by millennia. Today, Cairo serves as a vibrant cultural and political hub of the Arab world, blending its Pharaonic, Islamic, and modern heritage.

North Coast

The North Coast refers to a region in Egypt stretching along the Mediterranean Sea, known for its stunning beaches and resort towns like Marsa Matruh and El Alamein. Historically, it was a vital area during World War II, most notably the site of the pivotal Battle of El Alamein in 1942, which marked a turning point against Axis forces in North Africa. Today, it is a popular summer destination for Egyptians and tourists, blending ancient history with modern leisure.
