In a personal message through the team’s WhatsApp group, Croatian head coach Krunoslav Jurcic informed his players that he will permanently leave Pyramids at the end of the season, deciding to depart in search of a new challenge in his career, assuring them that they are the best players he has worked with in his professional history. This unexpected announcement came at a time when Al-Ahly club officials are officially refusing to sign him, stressing that what has been rumored about that is not true.

Apart from the Pyramids coach, whose name was not put forward on the list of candidates to coach Al-Ahly as a replacement for the Dane Jes Thorup, who left officially, Al-Ahly officials confirmed that they possess a large number of resumes for more than one foreign coach, among whom they are evaluating to choose the best and most suitable for the team in the upcoming period.
