In an achievement that reflects the excellence of Saudi education, students from the Kingdom won prestigious awards at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2026. Student Al-Jawhara Saud Al-Qahtani shone by winning the grand prize “Inventors of Tomorrow and Young Talents 2026” for her smart innovation, an AI-based platform aimed at supporting clinical decisions and gene editing for the treatment and diagnosis of respiratory diseases.
Student Sari Saud Al-Qahtani also achieved the gold medal and the age category award for 12-15 years at the same exhibition. In addition, Firas Abdulwahab Al-Ghamdi, Fatimah Mohammed Al-Sulaim, Rasil Ali Masmali, and Mohammed Al-Amer each won gold medals, while Aya Ghazi Al-Amoudi, Abdulkarim Emad Al-Mohammed, Basil Ahmed Abu Hawa, Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, Fares Hamoud Al-Nemer, Fawaz Ahmed Al-Sulbi, Ibrahim Ahmed Rafai, and Ahmed Kamal won silver medals. Student Lamees Abdulmohsen Al-Qadi received the bronze medal.
The Kingdom participated in the exhibition with 135 scientific inventions, including 10 inventions by general education students and 10 by teachers, in addition to 111 inventions from universities and colleges and 4 from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. The exhibition saw competition from 73 male and female students from various educational sectors, alongside 99 faculty members.
