
Egypt’s U19 handball team secured an important victory against Bahrain with a score of 36-28 in the match held this evening as part of the second round of the U19 World Championship currently taking place in Egypt. The Egyptian team has now advanced to the main round of the tournament.
The match took place at the main hall of Cairo Stadium, where the Egyptian players delivered a strong performance from the start, ending the first half with a 19-13 lead. They continued their dominance in the second half, further widening the gap.
Player Ali Madbouli stood out during the match, earning the title of best player due to his outstanding performance and significant contribution to the victory, giving the “Descendants of the Pharaohs” team a strong push forward in the tournament.
Previously, Egypt’s U19 handball team achieved a crushing victory over South Korea with a score of 46-27 in their first group-stage match held yesterday.
The championship is organized under the slogan “Egypt Welcomes the World” and is one of the most prominent global sporting events held in Egypt this year, featuring 32 teams from different continents.
The final squad includes 19 players, led by Spanish technical director Fernando Barbito, who took over after Tarek Mahrous suffered a health setback days earlier.
