Through Tawakkalna.. Launch of the Interactive Map for Infrastructure Projects
The Infrastructure Projects Center in the Riyadh region has launched an interactive infrastructure projects map via the “Tawakkalna” application, creating a comprehensive digital window that allows viewing project details in the Riyadh region. This step reflects its direction towards enhancing transparency and enabling beneficiaries to access information easily.
The interactive map provides a seamless experience, enabling the user to browse project locations and follow their current status, in addition to learning about existing projects and those planned for future implementation, clearly and directly displaying their types and implementation timelines.
This launch confirms the Center’s continued adoption of innovative digital solutions that support data integration and facilitate access to it, enhancing planning efficiency and making project data available to residents and visitors of the Riyadh region, contributing to an improved quality of life.
Tawakkalna
“Tawakkalna” is a mobile application developed by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was launched in 2020 to help manage public health by providing digital health passports, movement permits during curfews, and exposure notifications. While not a physical place, it became a significant part of Saudi Arabia’s cultural and technological response to the global crisis.
Infrastructure Projects Center
The Infrastructure Projects Center is not a specific historical or cultural site, but rather a generic administrative or corporate name for an organization that plans and manages construction works like roads, bridges, and utilities. As such, it does not have a singular history; these centers are typically modern entities established by governments or companies to coordinate large-scale development projects. Their significance lies in their role in shaping a region’s contemporary built environment and economic growth.
Riyadh region
The Riyadh region is the historic heart of Saudi Arabia, centered on the capital city of Riyadh. It was the seat of the First and Second Saudi States and became the permanent capital in 1932 following the unification of the kingdom by King Abdulaziz Al Saud. Today, it is a major political, financial, and administrative hub, blending modern skyscrapers with historic sites like Diriyah, the original home of the Saudi royal family.
