Zamalek’s penalty kicks today.. Penalty shootout of the match between Zamalek and USM Alger in the CAF Confederation Cup final
The title of the CAF Confederation Cup was decided after a victory over Zamalek in a penalty shootout with a score of 8-7, in an exciting final held at the Cairo International Stadium, after the match ended with the two teams tied on aggregate over the two legs, so the tournament was decided from the penalty spot following a marathon match that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the last moments.

The penalty shootout witnessed great excitement between the two teams, starting with Abdullah El Said successfully scoring the first penalty for Zamalek, before Zakaria Draoui quickly responded by scoring the equalizer for USM Alger.
In the second kick, Ahmed Abdel Rahim Esho successfully scored the second goal for the White Team, but Ahmed Khaldi brought the Algerian team back to a draw despite Mohamed Awad’s attempt to save the ball.
Excitement continued in the following kicks, as Hossam Abdel Maguid scored the third penalty for Zamalek, and Saadi Radwani responded with an equalizer for USM Alger, before Nasser Mansi successfully scored the fourth kick, and Ben Ayed again equalized for the Algerian team.
In the fifth kick, Zamalek continued their success from the penalty spot through Seifeddine Jaziri, but Haithem Loucif scored the equalizer for USM Alger, so the competition between the two teams continued without any advantage.
The sixth kick witnessed a wonderful goal for Zamalek by Juan Pezziera, before Elias Chetti successfully scored the sixth kick for the Algerian team, keeping the score tied amid great tension inside the Cairo Stadium.
In the seventh kick, Mohamed El Sayed successfully scored Zamalek’s goal, but Hocine Deiri kept USM Alger’s hopes alive by scoring the equalizing kick, so the penalty shootout continued to the decisive eighth stage.
The most difficult moment for Zamalek fans came when Mohamed Shehata missed the eighth kick, after shooting the ball wide of the goal, giving USM Alger the opportunity to settle the title.
Glody Likonza successfully seized the opportunity, after scoring the eighth penalty for USM Alger, giving his team the victory with a score of 8-7 and crowning them with the CAF Confederation Cup title amid great joy from the players and fans of the Algerian team.
Zamalek had ended regular time leading by a single goal scored by Oday Al-Dibbagh in the fourth minute from a penalty kick, before the result remained unchanged until the end of extra time, sending the match to penalty kicks, which ultimately smiled upon USM Alger.
With this title, USM Alger writes a new chapter in their continental history, after successfully snatching the title from the heart of Cairo in front of Zamalek, in one of the most exciting and competitive finals of the tournament in recent years.
