
The snow depth at the VDNKh weather station has decreased due to compaction and now measures 56 cm.
“A light snowfall occurred in Moscow and the region during the day on February 1 and overnight into February 2. However, this did not affect the snow depth. In Moscow, the most snow lies in the new territory – up to 63 cm. At VDNKh, the snow depth has decreased to 56 cm due to compaction. The daily record is 67 cm and belongs to 1994,” the report states.
It is specified that the most snow is in the south and east of the Moscow region.
