Officers of the non-departmental security force of the Russian Federal National Guard Troops Service (Rosgvardia) in Taldom detained a 36-year-old man who fired multiple shots from an air pistol at a local resident during a street altercation.

“Officers from the Dubna division of the Rosgvardia non-departmental security force in the Moscow region stopped the unlawful actions of a 36-year-old man from a neighboring country who opened fire with an air pistol. Concerned residents of Taldom reported to law enforcement that gunshots and cries for help were heard on 8th March Street. Rosgvardia officers promptly arrived at the scene and determined that during a conflict with a group of individuals, the suspect pulled out an air pistol and fired several shots at the head of a 37-year-old local resident,” the press service reported.

They added that the detained individual was handed over to the police for further investigation. The injured man was taken to a medical facility.
