The shooter targeting Deputy Chief of the GRU Vladimir Alexeyev was apprehended with the assistance of partners from the UAE, according to the Russian FSB. As reported by the agency’s press service, the individual is Lyubomir Korba, born in 1960. He has already been handed over to the Russian side.

- The FSB also reported another accomplice of Korba — Zinaida Serebritskaya. According to intelligence services, she has fled to Ukrainian territory.
- The attempt on Vladimir Alexeyev’s life was carried out on February 6. The attack occurred in an elevator lobby. According to the investigation’s version, Korba shot Lieutenant General Alexeyev several times in the back. Alexeyev was hospitalized in serious condition, underwent surgery, and passed away on February 7.
