Last night, work began in the village of Lermontovo to lay a new water pipeline branch, according to the Operational Headquarters of Krasnodar Krai.
“The utilities must be laid to restore water supply, disrupted by the flood, by the end of the day on August 7,” the statement said.
Workers are using horizontal drilling to lay a pipe under the bed of the Shapsukho River, which separates part of the village from the water intake. Previously, the water pipeline ran along a bridge, but it was destroyed due to heavy rains.
The new underground water pipeline will significantly reduce the risk of damage during heavy rainfall. Work on this section continues around the clock.
