An inspection was initiated following a news report.
It was determined that water supply in the villages of Ilsky and Chernomorsky was cut off due to a rupture in the main pipeline of the Kryukovsky water intake. Repair work is currently underway, with completion expected by August 18.
Water supply has now been partially restored, though with technical limitations.
The prosecutor’s office has initiated administrative proceedings against officials and legal entities of the utility service provider for violating regulatory standards in providing communal services.
The inspection will evaluate the adequacy and timeliness of measures taken to address the accident’s consequences and restore water supply.
The results of the inspection remain under supervision.
Residents of two villages in Seversky District were left without water due to the accident. The prolonged water outage in Ilsky and Chernomorsky became known on August 14. Local residents reported being without water for nearly the entire day.
