KrasnodarAn aggressive passenger was detained by transport police officers at Sochi International Airport.

A report was received by the duty department of the linear police department from the crew of an airliner traveling from Istanbul to Kazan. During the flight, the passenger grossly violated public order.

According to flight attendants, after the aircraft reached cruising altitude, the man began to behave provocatively, shouting loudly and instigating conflicts with other passengers; he did not respond to remarks from those around him. The aircraft commander made the decision to make an emergency landing in Sochi.

Police removed the 60-year-old foreign citizen from the flight and brought him to the department. He was held administratively liable under Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, “Petty Hooliganism.”
