Amid the joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, this morning on September 1, a large number of citizens happily and excitedly came to the People’s Committees of wards in Ho Chi Minh City to receive a gift of 100,000 VND.
On the morning of September 1, the atmosphere at the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Hoa Hung Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) was bustling and cheerful. Citizens, from the elderly to children, were all excited, expressing their gratitude for the practical care and attention from the authorities.
According to guidance, the head of the household will represent the family and go to the commune-level People’s Committee as notified to receive the 100,000 VND gift from the local government. However, many happy citizens brought along their relatives, such as young children and the elderly, to share in the cheerful atmosphere of receiving the gift.
Although the material value is not large, the gift carries deep spiritual meaning, contributing to encouragement and strengthening the solidarity between the people and the State.
Observations at the People’s Committee of Hoa Hung Ward showed many elderly individuals with silver hair and a slow gait still came to receive the gift directly from the ward.
As they are not accustomed to using smartphones and the VNeID application, the ward officials patiently guided and assisted them in receiving the 100,000 VND gift in cash.
On their kind faces, the elderly’s radiant smiles reflected joy and emotion upon receiving the State’s care, which attends to every individual, ensuring no one is left behind on the nation’s important holiday.
An elderly woman (81 years old, residing in Hoa Hung Ward) with white hair, her hands trembling, held 300,000 VND due to emotion. She shared that she had just received the gift at the ward People’s Committee, a bright smile clearly visible on her face.
«The gift may be small in material terms but contains great affection, it is the thoughtful care of the State for the people. In the atmosphere of the September 2 holiday, that joy becomes even more complete, warming my and my family’s hearts and bringing happiness,» the elderly woman emotionally shared, adding that she is the head of the household receiving the gift on behalf of her husband and son, both of whom are seriously ill.
A woman (55 years old, residing in Hoa Hung Ward) also happily came to the ward People’s Committee to receive the gift. Holding the gift from the authorities on the occasion of National Day September 2, she said she was truly very happy and moved.
«When receiving the gift handed to me considerately by the ward officials, I couldn’t hide my emotion. I am truly thankful for the caring, close, and warm attention from the government. The gift, though simple, contains great sentiment, making people feel shared with and valued on the important holiday of the Fatherland,» the woman said emotionally.
The Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Hoa Hung Ward stated that the ward will strive to distribute all September 2 gifts to approximately 77,000 residents in the area within the next few days.
For cases registered via the VNeID application, the ward has reviewed and created lists transferred to the State Treasury and banks; these cases will also receive their gifts as soon as possible.
Previously, the ward had meetings and assigned tasks, doing good preparatory work, arranging locations, and staffing to serve the distribution of gifts to the people.
The Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Hoa Hung Ward said the ward has strived to implement and organize the gift distribution to the people quickly, with the desire to bring joy and warmth on Independence Day.
