The Murinsky investigative department has initiated a criminal case regarding sexual assault following complaints from local residents about a pervert. The man is currently detained and charged with two episodes.

«The investigation has established that the suspect, while in the stairwell of a building on Vorontsovsky Boulevard in the town of Bugry, Vsevolozhsky District, Leningrad Region, repeatedly committed crimes against the sexual freedom of women to satisfy his sexual needs,» the statement reads.

The 44-year-old man has been procedurally detained, and a restraining measure will soon be chosen for him. The investigation is currently searching for other victims of his actions.

It was previously reported about the nightmare experienced by residents of the «Murino» residential complex. A man attacked a woman right by the elevator. He lifted her skirt and attempted to kiss the victim. The victim managed to break free when she was able to get her keys and press them against the attacker’s throat.

Vorontsovsky Boulevard

Vorontsovsky Boulevard is a historic parkway in Moscow, part of the famous Boulevard Ring. It was established in the 1820s on the site of the former white-stone wall that once surrounded the Bely Gorod (White City). The boulevard is named after the nearby Vorontsov Estate, a historic property of the noble Vorontsov family.
