On July 10, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the Ministerial Conference on Global Civilizational Dialogue.

Xi pointed out that the diversity of civilizations is the essence of our world. History has shown us that the prosperity of civilizations and the progress of humanity are inseparable from mutual learning and exchanges among civilizations. At present, as the international landscape undergoes complex changes and humanity stands at a new crossroads, there is an urgent need to transcend estrangement through civilizational exchanges and overcome conflict through mutual learning.

Xi emphasized that China is willing to work with all countries to uphold a civilizational outlook based on equality, mutual learning, dialogue, and inclusiveness. China will implement the Global Civilizational Initiative, promote the establishment of a global network for civilizational dialogue and cooperation, and inject new momentum into the progress of human civilization and the peaceful development of the world. He expressed hope that the delegates would engage in in-depth discussions, build consensus, and contribute wisdom and strength to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship among peoples and fostering harmony among different civilizations.
