The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI) has determined through an isbat session that 1 Dzulhijjah 1446 Hijri will fall on May 28, 2025. Consequently, 10 Dzulhijjah 1446 H will coincide with June 6.

This week, Muslims worldwide will observe Eid al-Adha 1446 H/2025 M. According to the official website of Istiqlal Mosque, the Eid al-Adha 2025 prayer at Istiqlal will be held on:

Eid al-Adha 2025 Takbir Chanting at Istiqlal

Istiqlal Mosque will also hold the Takbir Chanting event on the eve of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri, Thursday (June 5, 2025) after Maghrib prayer. The public can attend this event in person at the Main Floor of Istiqlal Mosque or watch it online.

Mosque Will Not Be Open 24 Hours

Istiqlal Mosque will not be open 24 hours on the night of Takbir for Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri. Congregants who wish to perform the Eid al-Adha 1446 H prayer at Istiqlal Mosque can arrive starting at 03:30 WIB.

Members of the public attending the Eid al-Adha 2025 prayer at Istiqlal Mosque are advised to maintain order, comfort, and adhere to health protocols. Other reminders include bringing personal prayer equipment and keeping the mosque clean while safeguarding personal belongings.

Eid al-Adha 2025 Holiday Schedule

According to the Joint Decree of Three Ministers No. 1017 of 2024, No. 2 of 2024, and No. 2 of 2024, there will be two public holidays and joint leave days for Eid al-Adha 2025, falling on June 6 and 9. However, there is a weekend holiday in between, making it a long weekend. Below is the schedule.
