MANILA – Three suspects, including two high-value individuals (HVIs), were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Bulacan and Bohol on Sunday, with authorities confiscating PHP6.7 million worth of suspected shabu.

The acting Bulacan Police Director said a buy-bust operation at past 8 a.m. in Barangay Virgen Delas Flores, Baliwag City led to the arrest of 45-year-old Rex, tagged as an HVI.

The suspect yielded 475.5 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of over PHP3.2 million.

The drugs were found inside several plastic packs, including one placed in a bag labeled “Freeze-dried Durian.” Buy-bust money and other paraphernalia were also recovered.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Cabulihan, Tubigon, Bohol, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) arrested two suspects —identified as Wel, 51, and Botyok, 25, in an operation early Sunday.

Authorities recovered 520 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP3.5 million.

The suspects are now in police custody for documentation and facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
